TheCapsid is a blog regarding all things virology! This blog is born out of my passion for science and here you'll find posts about different topics related to viruses which are mainly (but not uniquely) destined to people with some prior knowledge in biology.

About Me

Hey guys, my name is Pedro and I am a Virology Master's student based in Europe!

I am passionate about science and biology in general but I have a soft spot for viruses. I really enjoy arboviruses and the fascinating interactions between these pathogens and their vector hosts, particularly between mosquitoes and plus-stranded RNA viruses.

After years of my friends and family telling me that I talk way too much about biology and viruses sometimes, I've finally decided to create a space where I can share my passion with others!
